No supper needed tonight for me

My corner is enjoying super sunny weather today. Hubby has been itching for an Impossible burger. Moxe needed more work getting into our car. (We have a 2 door car and the last time I tried to get her into the back seat I got a I'm scared! Not going!" reaction from her.) So I gave Rufus and his leash to hubby. I grabbed Moxe and her leash and encouraged her to walk nicely on the left side to the car. Got to the car and opened the passenger seat cause that seat opens further than my side. I tossed treats into the back seat and this time Moxe ventured in. We went for our Sunday drive on Thursday. The pups each enjoyed a cheese burger- no mustard, please. She did well on her first car ride. Very quiet and mannerly. Rufus did his usual HEY! A logging truck! and HEY! a big truck! barking bit. Hubby finally got him to quiet down. Got home. Hubby again had Rufus cause he could be walked on a string. I walked Moxe down the block, treats at the ready, encouraging her to walk left side, head up. I had her sit and enjoy the sun a couple of times. Back to the starting part I grabbed Rufus and took him out cause he was feeling left out. Time for a nice sit down. I plan on going out for a property walk in a bit. I hope everyone's day is storm free.

So you all enjoyed your outing. A hamburger does sound good. I am having scrambled eggs with tuna tonight. I am really hungry for eggs lately.

@celticeagle I had a boiled egg this morning. Maybe you need lots of protein these days.

Glad the pups enjoyed their outing. I like the Impossible Whopper. I had one once or twice..alot of calories in them though..good for hubby..not for me. Next time I get one I will split it in half.

@snowy22315 Calories and salt. It tasted like the pickle was salted! I will eat light for the rest of the day.

@kobesbuddy Thanks. Moxe is slowly learning all kinds of things. I hope she stops digging new holes in the yard,

@sallypup When Kobe was about two years old, he dug holes all over our back yard!

Soon Moxe will be comfortable going for rides ....... I haven't taken Roscoe for a ride in a long time but he wasn't an issue back when we went.

@just4him Thank you. It's a matter of survival for me. Moxe must weigh at least 40 pounds now. If she were to pull on me I could fall. Better for her to think about treats than running off or yanking on me.

@just4him Thank you. I have not felt the need to use a chain collar on Moxe. Some people think those collars are cruel. I have learned how to use one without choking the dog. I want my dogs to not have to wear a harness. They can learn to behave and not be running all over the place on walks.

This post brings back memories. When I was a teenager, I had a little dog named Smokey. He was a Lhasa apsa. Every Friday, after I got paid, we went through the drive thru at McDonalds and both got a fish sandwich with fries. He sat in the passenger seat and my parakeet sat in his cage in the middle. I miss those two, but I sure have some sweet memories.

@gnatsmom A parakeet, too! I love the picture you've given me. I'm glad you have those memories to hold onto.
