Day 93 – Salt Leviticus 2:1 ‘When anyone offers a grain offering to JEHOVAH, his offering will be of fine flour. He will pour oil on it and put frankincense on it. 2 He will bring it to Aaron’s sons, the priests, one of whom will take from it his handful of fine flour and oil with all the frankincense. The priest will burn it as a memorial on the altar, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to JEHOVAH. 3 The rest of the grain offering will be Aaron’s and his sons’. It is the most holy of the offerings to JEHOVAH made by fire. 4 If you bring as an offering a grain offering baked in the oven, it will be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. 5 If your offering is a grain offering baked in a pan, it will be of fine flour, unleavened, mixed with oil. 6 You will break it into pieces and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. 7 If your offering is a grain offering baked in a covered pan, it will be made of fine flour with oil. 8 You will bring the grain offering made of these things to JEHOVAH. When it is presented to the priest, he will bring it to the altar. 9 Then the priest will take from the grain offering a memorial portion and burn it on the altar. It is an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to JEHOVAH. 10 What is left of the grain offering will be Aaron’s and his sons’. It is the most holy of the offerings to JEHOVAH made by fire. 11 ‘No grain offering which you bring to JEHOVAH will be made with leaven, for you will burn no leaven nor honey in any offering to JEHOVAH made by fire. 12 As for the offering of the first fruits, you will offer them to JEHOVAH, but they will not be burned on the altar for a sweet aroma. 13 Every offering of your grain offering you will season with salt; you will not allow the salt of the covenant of your Elohiym to be lacking from your grain offering. With all your offerings you will offer salt. 14 If you offer a grain offering of your first fruits to JEHOVAH, you will offer for the grain offering of your first fruits green heads of grain roasted on the fire, grain beaten from full heads. 15 You will put oil on it, and lay frankincense on it. It is a grain offering. 16 Then the priest will burn the memorial portion: part of its beaten grain and part of its oil, with all the frankincense, as an offering made by fire to JEHOVAH. Names of God: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Mighty God Iesous – Jesus – Greek Theos – Mighty God – Greek God’s character: Holy – Set Apart When asked to give an offering, people will give it in several ways. They will give the offering willingly, reluctantly, or not at all. A willing offering is a generous offering, showing appreciation to the person or project. A reluctant offering shows an unwillingness to give more than necessary and could also show malice and discontent to the person or project. When a person withholds their offering, it shows a total lack of respect for the person or project. JEHOVAH told Moses how the people were to give the grain offerings to Him. In every instance, they were to season it with salt, a preserving agent, but they were not to add leaven or honey to the offering. Leaven and honey corrupted the offering because they are fermenting agents. JEHOVAH didn’t want anything to corrupt the offering the people brought to Him. What kind of offering do you give to Elohiym? Is it seasoned with salt or offered with malice and discontent? Be careful how you give your offering to Elohiym. Satan will do everything he can to corrupt your thinking in how you give to Elohiym. When you listen to Satan’s lies about the offering, you allow him to sow leaven and honey into your lives so that whatever you give becomes corrupted by your words and actions. Your life no longer shows the salt of preservation, but the corruption of wickedness. What did Iesous tell His disciples about the Pharisees? Luke 12:1 In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” When you attend a church service you need to be aware of the doctrine presented. Does it glorify Elohiym, or does it glorify the minister? Pay attention to the Christians you associate with in church and in public. Do their words and actions glorify Elohiym or themselves? Iesous told His disciples they would know them by their fruit. Matthew 12:33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, say good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” People see how you live your life. It is either an offering of praise and thanksgiving to Elohiym, or it glorifies you. Paul told the Roman Christians how they were to present themselves before Theos. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Theos, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Theos, which is your reasonable service. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of Theos. Your life is a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving to Theos. Live your life in such a way that people will know you are Christians, holy, set apart, to Theos by your words and actions. Then Satan cannot corrupt your thinking and everything you do will glorify Theos. Let’s pray: Father, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight. Let me live my life seasoned with salt and not with leaven or honey which corrupt the soul. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 20 April 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

God was particular there in what he wanted them to follow. I guess this is because God cares about all things, and therefore will guide, and instruct us, in how to do all things too.
