Heavy Load

Yesterday, the delivery man left a few free things I had ordered on my doorstep. One said “heavy”, but I couldn’t figure out what it was (I had a migraine, and my memory was fuzzy). I was actually worried I would hurt my back, but I manhandled the box inside my apartment, and left it while I went back to being miserable.
This morning, I summoned the energy to open the box and found…a weighted blanket. Well, that’ll do it it ya!

I hope your weighted blanket does what you hope it will do. I don't know if I can use a weighted blanket as too much pressure or weight hurts my arthritic left knee and my ankle which I strongly think have arthritis
I once had to carry in a 44-pound package that was a cat tree I got my cat about 5 or -6 years ago for Christmas and the delivery person put it on a lawn chair on the front porch so I had to lift it instead of push it like I did something my mom ordered when she was sick and too weak to do most things.. that was heavy! the cat tree was a lot bigger than I expected!

@LovesEverybody Compression helps swelling, so I would think while it wouldn’t cure it, it might make them a tad better. It certainly won’t hurt.

@AmbiePam I didn't know that would help arthritis. I may buy one as I could use help with my arthritis sometimes.
does it help with swollen ankles that have been swollen for a few months?
Thanks for the suggestion.

No worries here.
Hey, your Dad calls the roll? I've done it myself when all of the kids are around!

i know how it feels to have to carry a heavy box inside of my relatives home that came from Amazon that was a cabinet that will be used to load clothes and other materials inside of the home.

@AmbiePam It was pretty tough just getting the box inside the home and leaving it on the living room.

I know people really like weighted blankets, but I'm always kicking mine off because I'm too warm. Maybe that would be a good workout, lol

Is a weighted blanket the one that feels like is filled with sand in it?

It is supposed to be helpful with anxiety. Just make sure you look at reviews so you don’t buy one that sounds too good to be true. I know a girl who got one, but she got it super cheap, and it turned out to be worth nothing. Mine didn’t retail for a lot though; it is 25 pounds. You are very skinny, right? so I don’t know that I would go a 25 pounder. Snowy’s is 20 pounds. I’m not sure what that converts to from pounds…

Wow, I didn't think a weighted blanket was THAT heavy that is would hurt your back? Let us know how that works out. I have heard great things about them, but I think I might feel smothered if I tried to sleep under one!
