Have you ever been fooled by the green (or reddish) CONTINUE button?

On some of the websites I visit, I sometimes encounter an ad with a very large CONTINUE button in the middle of it. On my desktop, I quickly recognize it as an ad, and "x" out of it. But when my power was out, and I was on my cell phone for a day, I think I absent-mindedly clicked on the Big Green Continue Button. I saw the ad, shook my head, and thought about writing a post here entitled "Senior Moment Number 3,948." But I got control of my cell phone back and did what I had to do. Have you ever seen the Big Green CONTINUE button? Have you ever been tricked by it? I wonder if it is more effective with cell phones or laptop computers, relative to desktops. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in an executive board room discussing how to trick users into clicking on your link? Does it irk you at all when you encounter this kind of thing?

@LadyDuck Exactly. Plus I am not distracted. When I am out and about, I like to interact with other humans.

I resent the fact that it's "sneaky" but apparently "legal."

Yes, it irks me; and I avoid it like the plague. Have a good day.
