How do you take good care of your skin?

I don't care much of my skin until I meet persons that are really skin conscious. They are very much knowledgeable about skin care products and I really admire their skin. I can say that even when I was in my teenage years, people mistaken me as older than my sister. We have 7 years age gap and I am the younger one but some people think I am older. I guess, it is because I am serious most of the times and maybe I don't drink much water. But now, I try to use moisturizer and try hard to drink water many times a day.

I only keep my skim moisturized and I protect the skin when I go out in the sun, this to avoid wrinkles.

Yes, they said moisturizer and sunscreen are both important in skin care. I have observed that the skin near the eyes get wrinkles easily.

@annierose On the side of the eyes if we do not wear sunglasses in the sun.

@LadyDuck I cannot wear sunglasses because I have a poor eyesight. I just wear another type of glasses where I can see clearly. They said smiling can also cause wrinkles, I wonder if is it true.

I was using all these face masks and collagen/retinol creams until I just recently learned in my carni-group that these are all readily absorbed into the skin, body, and organs.. and they are all toxic. These directly cause inflammation and then your poor liver has to work extra-hard to eliminate them, causing even more inflammation and cortisol spikes. We all use pure beef tallow on our faces now. Great moisturizer and the skin loves it.

I would like to know more about pure beef tallow. Can you tell me more about it?

@annierose Ha! Found it. Ok, I get mine from a place called Traditional Nutrients. I’ll show you a pic so you can see the consistency.. and right next to it you’ll notice Bare Minerals powder. I bought the darkest shade I could find, and then sometimes I blend it into the tallow and make my own homemade self-tanner! All clean ingredients, as long as it’s Bare Minerals and nothing else loaded with chemicals.

I'm very lazy to use cosmetics. But I still drink lots of water and regularly use moisturizer. When I go out in the sun for a long time, I use sunscreen. These things is not enough for skin care. But I'm too lazy... :D

I can relate with you. I am busy most of the time. That is why I hardly spend time applying cosmetics on my face. I am just contented with baby powder and liptint.

@tkonlinevn That is true. My mom tells me lipstick is not good because it has chemicals that can make our lips look dark. Good thing is that cosmetics are now evolving becoming more concern not just on good looks but also on taking care of our skin.

@annierose I also use lipstick when I go out. Lipstick is the most commonly used cosmetic product besides sunscreen and moisturizer :)
