Paid Clinical Trials

United States
April 28, 2024 8:01pm CST
I was just reading an advertisement for paid Clinical Trials, and decided to ask mylot about it. Ive read here on mylot that there has been some who have tried it. Sounds interesting, I might just check it out if I get a good response from here, so if anyone here has tried it I sure would love your input about it. The area is very close to where I live, all others have been to far to travel, thanks in advance.

My sister did about twenty years ago, and got paid $250. I get offers for migraine clinical trials for $750, but I’m not going to mess with my head. Plus, disability would count that against me.

I wouldn't participate in a chelnical trail without doing extensive research. If you do sign up, you don't get paid unless you're accepted and complete the trail (assuming you survive it). They have falesafes in place to protect themselves of course, but a lot of trails can be dangerous. So, again research the company theroly before agreeing to anything. Make sure the promised pay is worth the risk to your health and safety.

I had no idea it could be that drastic. Thank you.

I also wouldn't participate such a trial, ppl was like a guinea pig to test the medicine.I think more or less, the trial will cause side effects and hurt health.Although the income of trial is high, the risk is high accordingly. It's not worth risking with our body.

You're a human guinea pig. I'd want to know exactly the risks and what was expected of me.

I heard some ppl tried paid hospital trials that they are asked to test new medicine through eating the medicine.Although they get paid,i always think that test will cause side effects in future. Thus,i refused such paid trial.

@jstory07 ,that trial must be harmful for health,if the trial is not harmful, why hospital staff don't try it at first?

Clinical trials are medical research on products for certain diseases. I did one on asthma inhalers over 20 years ago. That is the only one that I have ever done. They told me after a year after all studies were done. I would get a thousand dollars and I did receive a check for one thousand dollars after a year. I was really surprised when I got the check.

It would depend on the kind of medical trial.

It was interesting to read the responses. It depends what they're trialling I guess. If it's maybe food or diet related it should be safe enough.

The pay is good; but I wouldn't want to take a different medication (or possibly a placebo) for my current conditions. Have a good week.
