Too early to nap...

Good afternoon from this side of the planet. . It's 1:45 afternoon here and I just had my lunch. I am yawning and feel like having a nap. But it's too early for that. I want to bring my routine back on track. I want to go for my usual power nap from 3_3:40. I should get that into habit as I plan to resume my afternoon therapy sessions from coming Monday and I should be fresh and welcoming to my students by 4 PM.
It's another hot day. There is hot wind outside and no signs of rain. I have pulled down all curtains and blinds to make the house dark and a bit cooler. There is enough natural light to work on laptop or phone without having a need to switch on light.
Life after a long vacation can be a bit hectic. The house left for three weeks had so much of dust and so much to clean. I have been busy with that since yesterday and I have made a good progress..I have some more to do and I will do that slowly each day. I spent a good amount of time in the kitchen today morning doing some cleaning, cooking and grinding. Things like batter and ginger garlic paste etc kept ready in the fridge make cooking easier later. I also deep cleaned one of the bathrooms. Yesterday, it was a day of laundry. I washed three loads. Now they are dry and piled up on a chair. I need to fold, iron and keep them in cupboards. That's a big work and I have no energy for it now. It has to wait till I get energized from a power nap.
For now, I just want to relax and mylot. I will keep yawning. . Hopefully, myLot and one more site will help me stay awake for another one hour .
How is everyone in their myLot corner? Take care. Stay happy and healthy

That's a bad part of being in tropical countries. You have enough dust. Moreover with so many constructions coming up in our neighborhood, it's getting worse.
You are right. Women are busy all the time. We have so much to take care of

@LadyDuck There is huge apartment complex coming up next to our road and then there is a metro station coming up too. All these constructions are adding up to the dust problem.

A well deserved nap !
Cleaning the house after so many days would have been such a big task.
Did you take help from HouseMaid?
Coupled with the tricky bathroom cleaning, it adds up s lot.
Good Night and get a nice rest !!

Quite a lot of developments at your end.
Sorry to know about the medical emergency of your old helper.
I hope that she is doing better now.
Our fans too need cleaning as of now.
However, we need to get a few fitting and repair works tomorrow.

Of late, I too have seen cases of people taking money first and avoiding their duties.
Some people talk about returning money but delay a lot, under one pretext or another.

It's a herculean task. And with regular cooking and laundry, it seems like a never ending thing . About maids, it's another story. One of my maid ( for brooming and.mopping) went to her native for casting her vote and has returned today morning. Once they go to their native, they make it a holiday. The other one who is my trusted old one and is like a family member comes in the afternoon from 1_3 to help me with extra work. She has lunch with us and is a big help. Even in my absence, she takes keys from my friend and takes care of my plants and regular cleaning. She was doing the same during vacation time too. My husband was here and joined us only for a week. Unfortunately the day I landed she developed a very severe stomach ache and my husband took her to hospital. Due to her ignorance, she left her IUD in her uterus for more than eight years. It was supposed to be taken out after three years. Now that pierced her uterine wall and she developed a bad infection. She had to undergo hysterectomy and I have given her two months break to recover. She will join me from July.
So, it's all me and added work..I have requested this lady who comes in the morning to come for few days in the afternoon next week and help me with fan, window cleaning etc. I will pay her for that. I hope that she does. She is not a very good worker and is also not so professional. But I find a way to manage with her.

Good afternoon! It sounds like you've been quite busy getting back into the swing of things after your vacation. Taking a power nap sounds like a great idea to recharge for your therapy sessions and teaching later in the day. It's good that you are taking care to stay cool despite the hot weather. Enjoy your relaxation time in Mylot, and I hope you're able to stay awake for another hour.

I am trying to keep up with the goal of staying awake for another one hour.. It's hard . But hopefully, mylotting would help. I also plan to visit another site after answering the notifications and 20 posts here. Keeping a goal helps us stay motivated.

@arunima25 That sounds like a good plan. Setting goals indeed can help keep you motivated. You're almost there, just a little more to go before you can relax. You've got this!

@annierose Yes, I won't set up goals for my online earnings as such. But I do it from time to time. It is also fun

Yes, it is. But it can be very hard. I am struggling with that after being off track for a month. I should get settled by next week.

@arunima25 I can easily believe it would be very dusty there.

Very true! Especially in a country like ours. Being a tropical country, you have lots of dust. And the ongoing constructions and development projects add up to the problem.

You made me tired reading about all that you have done. I hope you took your nap. I'm still home alone, waiting for my husband to come home. Maybe some time in May he will be home. Have a good week.

Actually I have been on my toes since yesterday to set up the house, clean it and get back to my routine. And it seems never ending . Now that I have done a major part of it, I will go slow and finish a little each day. I did take a nap at 3 but couldn't wake up with the alarm. I slept for two long hours. Seems like my body still has to catch up with all the rest. Vacation is fun but you realise the tiredness once it's over.
It would be great for your husband to come back home in May.

Good afternoon. Truly busy days. One of the obstacles when deciding to take a vacation is this. We have to be busy cleaning up to get everything back on track after a long break. I think you should just do it slowly. You can't do all three weeks' worth of work in one day, right? Good luck.

Yes, totally agree. A lot has to be done before the vacation and a lot after coming back from the vacation . I have done a good part of it and I can go slow and do a little every day. Have a good week

Hope you were able to make it an hour and then enjoyed your nap. Getting back into a routine is hard sometimes. I generally take a nap around 3pm too and it's just enough to recharge my battery.

Yes, I could be awake till 3 PM and then slept. But I took a nap for long two hours. I didn't wake up with the alarm. That won't be good once my sessions start from next week. I have to work on that. Seems like my body was too tired with all travel, vacation and the non stop chores since yesterday.
I have this habit of taking a power nap of 20 to 40 minutes every day on working days. That is a must or else I don't function well in the late afternoon and evening.

Sunday I had a water issue. No water pressure in the house. Yesterday I got it fixed. I ended up having to get a new water tank put in the well. The water works perfectly now.

Glad that it is fixed..water issues can totally derail our life off the track.
We are having water crisis in our city this summer due to lack of rain. It's almost a drought like situation in the state. People are advised to use water judiciously and also there is a fine on wastage.
