Republican Representative Elise Stefanik of the House GOP Conference filed a complaint against the special counsel for the Department of Justice, Jack Smith last Tuesday. The complaint alleges that his prosecution of former President Donald Trump is "blatant election interference". She also accuses him of "egregious ethics violations that deserve "discipline". Jack Smith is overseeing two federal criminal cases against Trump. I have been wondering when and who would be the one to do something like this. Smith is in a powerful place and has done a lot of work. Why wouldn't some Republican do something like this to try to defame or find him in some kind of wrongdoing in all of this? Smith has accused Trump of mishandling classified documents and another of election interference. The GOP must be getting edgy and nervous as to how they are going to look when all is said and done. Stefanik is the fourth-ranking House Republican and has been chair of the House Republican Conference since 2021. She was the first woman to hold her House seat as well as being the youngest woman elected to Congress at that time.

I saw that, and every time I see the word "discipline" I think of black leather and whips...
