I have spent almost 2 hours now browsing online trying to find a birthday present for my sister. I am terrible at coming up with gifts for people and I don't see or talk to her often these days so I don't really know what she is even into.
She and I both like the skin care company philosophy. I thought maybe I'd buy some of their 3-in-1 shower gels along with a couple of other things. Um NOPE. A 16 fluid ounce bottle used to cost $16 which still to most people sounds insane. I was fine with the price since I don't use them every single day. Most days I use a Dove body wash which is like half the price.
Well today the price for the same size bottle is $24. I am NOT paying that. I will just give their shower gel up just like I've given up LUSH bath bombs and bubble bars. I don't mind spending money on things that last like a cookbook or a framed print to hang on the wall. A shower lasts 15 minutes. For me actually using the shower gel would take like 2 minutes. That price is not worth it.
So the search for a good birthday present continues. . .

I like that $3 Suave cocoa butter & shea body wash at Walmart. Twenty four bucks for body wash had better come with a massage!

Maybe you could research some other product lines like Sephora. $24 is insane. Hope you can find something. Have a good day.

Ugh, the struggle is real when it comes to finding the perfect gift, especially when you're out of touch with someone's preferences! It's frustrating when you finally settle on something only to find out it's not worth the splurge anymore. I totally get where you're coming from with those price hikes. $24 for a bottle of shower gel? No thanks, I'll stick to the budget-friendly options too.
