Am down about 36 pounds total so woohoo. Lost 3 since last time .but I really wish I could do this a bit faster. Anyway, I decided to go to Walmart anyway because the heat wasn't too bad and at least it isn't humid. I hadn't been there for awhile and was pretty shocked by the prices. I only bought stuff that didn't cost an arm and a leg. 5.00 for 4 Yasso frozen yogurt bars..I don't think so!!

I am on Ozembic. I am lucky I got to do this though because I have never been diabetic Although the last two months I don't think I had it in my system because I let it get too warm...No particular diet plan or anything. I just aim for a 1 percent improvement..every few weeks. Thanks

@snowy22315 Many of my coworkers are on Wegovy which does the same thing. My work BFF tried to get in on the action but they told her that she didn't meet the qualifications. I think the insurance company was shocked at how many employees went on it and how much $$ it is costing them. She's even pre-diabetic and they said no.

Losing 36 pounds is wonderful, good job! Is Ozempic for someone with diabetes? You mentioned diabetes in another response below.

@snowy22315 I know that you don't, but Ozempic is used to lower blood sugar.

@DianneN Like I said, I don't notice a big difference when I am on it, and when I am off..so don't think it is going to be a major issue for me. You have a stabilization period with this study anyway.

@snowy22315 Lots of the hairdressers I know are on it, but when they go off it, they gain all the weight back. So be careful if you stop taking it. Do you have much more to lose?

I won't pay them. I will only buy things not priced astronomically.

@just4him If people pay those ridiculously inflated prices, retailers will keep charging that. I boycott highly inflated prices.

No, but it isn't horrible either. I am rarely hungry, UT I guess that is the effect of the meds.

@MarieCoyle I don't know any of those people! There are certain things I like to buy at Walmart,,,like their prices on frozen vegetables are very good. Cat food is well priced..some of their popcorn etc.

I have a hard time supporting them. I hate the way they treat their employees. Long story...but it's sure not the best. I know some people love Walmart. I am just not one of those people.

What I like is those Outshine bars..They are expensive too, but not that bad. I don't mind frozen yogurt.

That's good. Tomorrow AM might be like that, but is likely going to be a fair amount of rain this weekend.

Don't wish you could lose the weight faster. It can cause serious abdominal problems like I've been having. My neighbor and I are both going through the same thing with the abdominal pain and lack of appetite. I am currently trying to force myself to eat. We compared notes and both have our medical scans late next month, after calling the beginning of April to make the appointment---that's just for a CT scan.
Our local Wal Mart is far enough away that it's actually cheaper to buy the stuff we need locally rather than go to Wally World. If you figure between 10 cents and a dollar (or more) per item in comparison to the price of fuel and wear and tear on your vehicle, you really aren't saving much. That isn't even figuring in your time going, doing the shopping, and coming home and putting the stuff away. If the prices reflect what's been going on with the minimum wage...we're going to be priced out of existence!!! Our local Taco Bell's minimum wage is $20 an hour... My thing was Sheeba canned cat food. I could get it at Wal Mart for $1.08 a can then the last time I went it was $1.29 a can. I would buy 30 cans so it tends to add up. That isn't even looking at other prices! I've been muttering about the rises in prices for quite awhile (I guess that's a sure sign that I'm getting really old!

That is an impressive weight loss.. And it is always better to go slow with weight loss or gain. It's safer and more effective.
Have you reached your goal or do you have to shed some more weight?

hooray on the weight loss! my sister is on Ozempic but she isn't trying to lose weight. She is taking it for diabetes. She started taking it last fall and she finally is starting to feel normal. It really made her sick through all of fall and winter and half of the spring.

@LovesEverybody I eat what I want..within reason. I just try not to eat the foods I llove very often, or if I do just a small portion. There are a few things I won't buy because they would be too hard to control. I haven't had full fat ice cream since I started this. Certain things I find too delicious I won't have around. I had problems on the higher dose. This study will go up to 7 mg. Which is much higher than most people take, but it was really giving me issues. I told them I couldn't take it, so they let me take the lower dose.

@snowy22315 I don't know if my sister went on the higher dose. I know the doctor wanted to increase her dose. But I think she was reluctant to take more.
Sis is learning what she can and cannot eat so she doesn't feel worse
