Movie: One Love

I’m not sure if the title is actually Bob Marley – One Love or not but same thing. As you can guess this film is about Bob Marley’s life. As most “true stories” go in the film industry, some are true and well some are made up to make the film more interesting. If you have an interest in Bob Marley and his music this is an entertaining one, if not, I’m not sure how much you might enjoy this one. For me it was entertaining and educational. I will admit I didn’t know much about Bob or Jamaca. I never paid that much attention I guess; I just enjoyed his music at times. Learning about some of the history and how he came about to be known across the world was interesting. Of course, as with all “true story” films, I had to go and research some on my own to see how much was true. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. Two things really set me back on this film. The first was the accents, at times I had no idea what they were saying. Maybe the accents were true to the actual people but that didn’t help me try to understand them. The second was there were times I thought the movie really slowed down. The film is rated PG-13 and runs at about an hour and 45 minutes. I think it goes without saying there is minor drug use, minor violence, and language. If you’re a fan I would say look at this film if you have the chance. You can currently find it in places like Paramount Plus, MGM plus, and Fubo TV.
