Daisy and the Fly

Not your regular housefly. No. This fly is a monster. Huge. Black. Buzzing. And Daisy is terrified of the thing. Granted, she is afraid of the regular houseflies. But this one is what my mom called a blow fly. You know the one. It is bigger than the usual housefly, and it sneaks inside with you when you are going through your door. You never see it until you are settled into your favorite chair. And Daisy is settled in the chair with you. And here it comes. Buzzing. Right at you, like a kamikaze ready to die. But since you don't expect it, you don't even have a flyswatter handy. And as it closes in, it suddenly flies away. And there goes Daisy into her favorite hiding spot between the toilet and the wall. And she is not happy, or any less fearful until bedtime when she can crawl under your blanket to sleep. And she won't be any less fearful until she sees that big monster dead on the floor, which she just did a few minutes ago. So hopefully she will not be hiding anymore. At least not until the next monster fly sneaks in.

That monster fly is nothing compared to the giant flying cockroaches we get there in Florida, Now they are scary but with two cats I have not seen any in a while, Glad Diasy was able to get away from that nasty fly,

@Ghostlady I had forgotten lately, but hair spray is great for taking down bugs of just about any type. The only bug that has not been susceptible to hairspray is the bumblebee. Aerodynamically, the bumblebee should not be able to fly at all, but the Creator never told it that. Even with loads of hairspray on its wings, it keeps going.

I hate those, too. I can't see them, but I can hear them.
