I watched The Little Mermaid. This one was made in 2018. It wasn't made by Disney and it fits closer to the fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen. It has William Moseley, Poppy Drayton, Loreto Peralta, Armando Gutierrez, Shirley MacLaine, Lexy Kolker, and Claire Crosby in it. Big Warning: there is a little bit of violence. This movie reminds me of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. The storyteller is a grandmother telling her granddaughters a story of a mermaid. The mermaid was part of a freak travelling show. A man named Cam is a journalist and he was sent to do a story about some magic healing water. Plus he wanted to see if the healing water would help his niece. The healing water turns out to be bad. He ends up helping the mermaid escape the freak show. I loved this movie. Next week I'm watching another The Little Mermaid movie. This one was made in 2016.

It sounds like a good movie. I've seen several Little Mermaid movies and wonder if I've seen this one. It sounds vaguely familiar.
