Are You A Twin or Do You Know Any Twins Well?

I am not a twin, there are no twins in my family. But I was talking to some identical twin men, about mid-sixties or so in age. They still looked a lot alike and seemed to be close too. I know of many brothers (not twins) who are not close at all and sisters too. So, it got me thinking. If I had a twin would I like him after all these years? What if he had more hair than I do? Hmmm, I wonder. Anyway, I just wondered about twins, identical and fraternal as well. So are you a twin? Close to any twins?

Our son and his wife have fraternal twin girls that are 2 years old. They have always communicated, ever since birth, in a little lingo that only they understand. They reach out to each to comfort each other, when one is scared or hurting. They also do this in times of excitement. It is amazing to watch and learn. Twins run in our daughter-in-law's family. Her sister has a set also.

I think that most twins have a closeness. Just something in their genes. I knew a boy and a girl in middle school who were twins. Very nice and personable. I don't recall any others. If you had a twin and, he had more hair than you did I bet you would tease him terribly and love him just the same.

My brother is married to an identical twin. Now that they are old, they donĀ“t look so alike. But when they were young it was almost impossible to tell them apart.

Interesting. Those two I saw still looked quite alike, didn't dress the same though.

@JamesHxstatic They were dressed alike when there were young. And I noticed that my sister in law was more used to say "we" than to say "i".

I am not a twin. It doesn't run in my family. I don't know any twins. But I do remember something interesting. When my son was in highschool, there were identical triplet sisters that was in the Class a year behind him.

Wow, Triplets! I recall a set of twins in maybe 5th grade in Texas and another set in high school in California, both sets were girls.

My mother would have abandoned us both if I had been twins, I suspect.

My brother and sister are twins and there are other twins on my mother's side of the family. Our niece had identical twin boys were didn't get on all that well as youngsters but do now. I have to tell you a funny story. My Mum was in hospital but taken for a little walk and met a young family taking their twin babies home. She admired the little ones then said 'I have twins but mine are 70.' Wouldn't that just blow you away if yours were only a few days old?
