A cargo truck that was traveling on the streets of Brooklyn caused traffic to come to a halt for a while on Monday daytime when live chickens that were inside of cages fell down from the back of the truck and broke open some of the cages for two blocks. The New York Police Department (NYPD) officers were able to pick up the loose chickens were removed from the streets safely and the chickens were taken to a safe location. The chickens were returned to the truck by the police and bystanders who were able to catch all of the chickens and reunite them with the truck driver safely. Link is upi.com/6041715026694 via @upi

It's lucky that some of the chickens weren't hit by cars.

The chickens got to live another day, without any of them being hurt, or pilfered for dinner, by any local resident, and bystander, who all did the right thing, returning the chickens to the truck, and its driver.

I hope they weren't going to be slaughtered. I guess I'm glad that they were caught.
