The butterfly - Work in Progress.

When I came home from art class, I had my dinner and watched some telly. After EastEnders I washed up, then I went to do some more painting in the dining room. I painted the edges of the burgundy canvas first, because I'd missed some parts of it, then I did some more to the butterfly. I made some grey to add to the wings, but on my first attempt I made it too dark. So, because I didn't want to waste the paint, I painted another canvas grey! Now I've got to find out what I can paint on that one! I made a lighter grey and painted the butterfly's wings. I made a slightly darker grey for a few areas. I added an edging to the butterfly. Then I added stripes to some of the butterfly's legs and his antennae. I added some of the markings to the butterfly's wings, and then I left it to dry. I went to my flower painting that I'm doing on the burgundy canvas, and I painted all the petals white. They are not opaque enough at the moment, and there are patches here and there, as I expected there would be, so I'll be going over it again at a later date.
