Shopping spree on shoes

I am in need of shoes and sneakers so decided to do some online shopping today. I went to Nordstrom Rack and ended up buying myself five pairs of Mark Joseph shoes. One was a pair of brown loafers. The others were flat shoes (called driving shoes for some reason). I got two different models, both in black and in navy. I am planning to keep the brown ones if they are comfortable and a good fit. The others I will have to pick which ones to keep and which to return as both models are similar to each other. All the shoes were on sale and I got free shipping. The total came out to about $320. I also bought myself a pair of Nike sneakers but at a different store. The first place I went to was the Nike website. I did not find them there so went to Macy's next. They came up in the search and were even on sale, which made me happy. However, it turned out the only available size was 6.5. I am size 8. Instead of trying other websites I decided to do a Google search for the sneakers and see where they are available. They came up at Dick's Sporting Goods. I went to their website and it turned out that the sneakers were actually on sale for $60.97. I thought that was a good price so decided to get them. I was hoping for free shipping but I came up short. You need to spend at least $65 to qualify. I could have tried to add something else to the cart but I didn't need anything else from that store. And I doubt they had anything there for under $5. I had to pay $8.99 for delivery. It seems like a lot to me but it's still cheaper than adding something else to the cart, especially something I don't really need. My goal is not to return the sneakers but I hope I will be able to do so in case they turn out not to be a good or comfortable fit. And I hope I get to keep three pair of shoes. In the event the sneakers and/or the shoes need to be returned there are stores close to where I live so I will be able to return them there and not have to deal with shipping them back.

I "go to town" when it comes to shoes, but only once every couple of years. I may get some new "yellow" work boots soon. They are $29.95 at Big Five Sporting Goods, but I can afford it right now.

@lovebuglena I have never bought shoes online. Shoes have to be comfortable.

@TheHorse yes. That’s why if you buy online it has to be from a store that allows returns.

I haven’t bought shoes in a long time. My mom got me some though. I hate buying things online and then having to deal with returns. I’d rather look in stores and this way if the shoes are no good I don’t buy them. Getting them online means having to pay for them even if they are no good and need to be returned as the returns tend not to make it into the same billing statement.

I found out on Saturday that I need some new shoes. I'm hoping to go to Shoe Show (a shoe store here) this afternoon. I need try on the shoes. If I don't get to go today, I'll have to order them online. I'm thinking either puma or adidas.

It’s good to have many pairs. Wearing the same shoes all the time you’ll wear them out faster. I need to look for summer footwear and maybe some dressy shoes for going out.

Do you think you got a good buy?

I think so. Maybe if I searched for the shoes elsewhere I may have found them cheaper but who knows. I don’t like to buy from sites I don’t know anyway. I definitely saved money though.
