5/16/24 - Update on My Husband

As my old boss said, "Document document document."

Those people are all disgusting. Your husband needs a daily therapy, even the two days weekend in bed are not at all good for him. What a big mess and so unprofessional not even to call you back about the $ 1,218.

They need to work with him every day. What a mess. I will keep praying for him.

How can the insurance company refuse to pay for his care when he clearly can't care for himself at this point?

Sorry you lost your appeal. This rehab director needs to level with you about options at this point. Are they able to improve your husband's condition there so he can return home. It does not seem like it to me. It seems to me this rehab facility is forcing you to make a decision to move your husband into a long-term care facility. Isn't there a staff doctor there to assess your husband's health. Does he need further medical treatment at a hospital? Many questions to ask them. Something is not right here! Is there a staff member at this rehab who acts as a patient's advocate like they have in a hospital? If so, you need to make an appointment and find out what's up. Another option you might explore at this point, although I know it is touchy to go there, but legal advice may be warranted. I hope things get figured out for you Linda.

I remember you spoke of the doctor you knew that worked in the rehab. Can he possibly give you an update, and help in some way? I may be grasping at straws here, just trying to think of something that would help you. It isn't unusual for family to ask for updates from the facility doctor here. I hope you can see him soon, Linda. I know that's the best medicine of all.

Why is he left lying in bed? Can't they get him up and sitting for some hours every day, Even that might make him feel better,

It's sad that your hubby backslid a bit after not having PT for a few days. Hope he does better today and of course that you get some sort of answer from the business office about your money.

Along with my prayers for you, I brought this to our prayer group last night. I'm sorry you lost the reconsideration. I hope you get answers from the business office today. Going over their head to corporate might get some action. I'm glad he had therapy. I'm sorry lying in bed for four days didn't help. It's what you expected.

I’m sorry, Linda. I’m relieved they did his physical therapy, but of course their neglect didn’t help. Thank you for keeping us updated.

I hope that you can get an explanation for the amount owing, that is alot not to give an itemized reciept for.
