18 May - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from sunny, hot Green Bay, Wisconsin. It's currently 83 F. Too hot for me.
Today has been a good day.
I'm thankful I've been here a few times today to see what you're up to and clear the notifications. It's always fun for me to hear what's going on in your corner of the world.
I'm thankful I walked the trail this morning. I really didn't think I would or could. My right side above my hip has been hurting for a while now. Walking like I did yesterday didn't do it any favors, so I thought it would give me grief this morning, but I walked two sections of the trail. I'm stiff, and I took some Ibuprofen, but I'm glad I could get my steps. I had all of them by the time I got home. I'm over 9000 steps now.
I'm thankful for the work I did on In the Hands of Mighty Men. I did two chapters today. It's coming along well. Better than I expected for a first full edit. I'm not done yet. Since this is the first edit of the book, it could be a while before I have it ready to publish. I already know I need to go through it again.
I'm thankful I went down to see my friend. She's the one who just had cataract surgery. She's been wearing her glasses. Bad idea since the prescription has changed. I thought they might be readers. When she told me no, I asked her if her doctor told her what magnification she needed. I had bought readers trying to find the right magnification for my eyes when before I had my cataract surgery several years ago. For some reason the doctor didn't give me a prescription for the computer. Since I can't use readers, I went through what I had on hand and gave her a pair at the right magnification. She was grateful. She was getting a headache from her glasses. Of course, she was. I also gave her my cereal and a can of buttermilk powder. She couldn't find any buttermilk in the store. I don't know when I bought it. I never opened it, and it's well past the expiration. She's going to try it on something simple. If it turns out, great. Otherwise, I told her to just throw it out.
Okay, that's my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I had a good day, also.. It was 62 degrees F, which is about perfect! We ordered pizza for supper, it was very tasty:) Now, Jay is sorting through movies to decide which one we will watch:) We saw one with Diane Keaton, she was dating a doctor who was 20 years younger than her:) Jack Nicholson was an awful man, in this story! ''Something's Gotta Give'' was the name of this movie.

I am thankful for the nice day outside and that the bad weather that passed through Lake Charles without any blackouts in my area.

I hope you're feeling better. It's going to be over 80 this week. I like it around 70. I have to take my glasses off when I'm on the computer. It was nice of you to share your readers. Have a good day.

I just use readers. I am at the highest magnification now. I had cataract surgery a year or so ago. The doctor said I would need the other eye done at some point. Both eyes are the same now. I see fine out of both. Nice that you had some glasses to give your neighbor.

Utah is still pleasant and beautiful. We have highs in the high 60s and towards the end of the month, low 70's with the overnight lows in the 40s and 50s. Perfect sleeping weather!
My sister in Kentucky says its really hot and humid there. No thanks, keep that weather over there!!

@just4him It is!! But we are also in the desert so it will definitely get hot next month but even then the evenings will cool down nicely. Also very little humidity which is a good and a bad thing, but mainly good.

Glad you could help her. The powder should still be good if it never got wet.
Thankful for a wonderfully sunny day.
