By now you’re thinking I’ve used all the good songs up! NO! And can you believe, the top ten doesn’t even start until Wednesday! This month also has served to show you just how diverse the music was back then. So we go from a beautiful ballad to this rocking song…both hits that are now 50 years old. You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet - Bachman-Turner Overdrive Last year I featured the genesis of this band, a country-rock outfit called Brave Belt, because three of its members passed away in 2023. Sadly, that included two of Randy Bachman’s brothers, Tim and Robbie. When Brave Belt became Bachman-Turner Overdrive they stopped sounding like Poco! Robbie was the drummer, and Tim played guitar. They left the “Brave Belt” name AND the mellow sound in the dirt when they burst on the scene. This was their only #1 hit in the U.S. And it was a doozy! Randy Bachman and Fred Turner still tour as Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Additionally, Bachman will do some shows (which are fabulous, based on the You Tube videos) with his former Guess Who bandmate Burton Cummings. You can still hear this occasionally in ads for something. I think Toyota (or some car company) used it in ads a few years ago. Remember, this song isn’t old, it’s timeless! You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet Written by Randy Bachman Recorded by Bachman-Turner Overdrive From Not Fragile, 1974 Any love is good loving:

Bullshit. I've seen it all. In fact I've seen most of it at least twice.

Nothing hasn’t been around to be seen, though.

@Scarred4Lyfe — the people who come up with those are twisted, sick, and perverted. Great folks.

@FourWalls Nothing to do with anything here - I don't know if you've heard this, but this is excellent.

@FourWalls I liked the line "the girls who try to look pretty"...but wasn't that "Takin' Care of Business"?

That was my limit for hard rock when I was 15. PS: saw that Australian singer Frank Ifield passed away.

@FourWalls Really? I hadn't heard that. I'll go looking. He must have been a fair old age. He had a distinctive voice too. Just checked - he was 86 so not really old in today's terms.

Yeah they did. Some of those old bands still create stuff today but not many, only one I can think of is the Rolling Stones but I get the feeling, with most of them over 80, that they really won't have the stamina to do much more.

That song always put me in "Overdrive." It's just "Bad to the Bone" another tune with a stutter in it, lol.

It’s something about m-m-m-my generation that put those stutters in.
