Fixing to start on supper in about an hour

I know it seems early but I enjoy an early supper and then a snack around 7pm.
I will be having baked potatoes which I put in my crock pot which takes about 2 hours or so. I like using the crock pot for this so that I don't heat up the kitchen and I don't like how potatoes turn out in the microwave.
Since it takes so long on the potatoes I'll start the chicken and whatever fresh vegetable I feel like today. I'm thinking a tossed salad will go well with the chicken.
I think this evening for my light snack will be canned pears and maybe some cream.

It was good. The only issue was the potatoes should have been done but they weren't quite, but we ate them anyhow

I never thought about baked potatoes in a crock. A good idea. Thanks for sharing.

It takes it a little longer but in the summer it is such a help not to heat the kitchen up, especially if you don't like them cooked in the microwave.

That is a dinner for Royalty! I will eat a small piece of cold steak I fried yesterday. I´ll cut it in thin slices, heat a couple of toasts (black bread) and homemade mayo and dill pickles. I will cut the sandwich in tiny bite size pieces and bring it to my bedroom.

That does sound yummy. When I make a big salad I use pickle juice in it and it gives it such a nice flavor.
