Si vis pacem, para bellum (“If you desire peace, prepare for war”) is a Latin proverb. It is not known who created this proverb, but many believe that it was quoted from the Roman military writer Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus: Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum. The main idea of this saying can be found in Law VIII of Plato 347 BC and Epaminondas 5 of Cornelius Nepos. Then it emerged from the words of Flavius Vegetius Renatus around 400 AD in the preface to De re militari: "Qui desiderat pacem, not yet praeparat" (“Who wants peace, prepare for war“) For example, referring to Napoleon Bonaparte's foreign policy, the historian de Bourrienne said: "Everyone knows the saying.... if Bonaparte had been a Latin scholar, he might have turned it around and said: Si vis bellum para pacem." "Parabellum", used as the motto of the Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken AG (DWM). Used for naming bullets, such as 9 mm Parabellum. The best world is a world without war. Live peacefully and full of love. Could this happen?

@Shivram59 If there is no bargaining power, then we could be colonized by big countries with a new model of colonialism.

I hope for peace, and I also hope that my country has the ability to protect its people from aggression. We only want a simple life.
