Yesterday morning, I was watching the news, and it was talking about Dollar Tree, and prices going up. They are already 1.25, and the news stated that some items could reach as how as seven dollars. Looks like prices continue to rise, I started going there because at one point they were cheaper than Walmart, but after listening to the news yesterday, I wasn't enthused at all.

They’ll have to rename the store to 7 dollar tree. That’s not good.

Inflation hits everyone at some point I'm afraid. It's worse than ever.

Yes it is. I hate to see the new prices. I won't be able to afford them.

@popciclecold I know. And, Now I'm relying on dilivery for most things. It's an added cost.

I think the majority of their prices will stay 1.25. If they go up I will not shop there any more.

I don't buy much there. Many things are actually smaller sized than at the other stores. So you are not getting a huge deal

Our Dollar Tree closed. There were some things there that I cannot find anywhere else. Nothing is cheap any more and it is hard to afford the basics.

My thought is that $7 would be a bit much but with inflation and prices today I could see Dollar Trees becomes Five Dollar Trees,

I hate when prices have to go up on things and we have to pay more. Things are expensive enough without having to pay more for something.

Inflation is pinching hard everywhere. I think they should think over changing their brand name. When I was in the US, Dollar tree had most of the items priced around one dollar.

Now they are one dollar and twenty five. But seven dollars. A little over the top.

The Dollar Tree closest to me has had $2,$3,$5,$7 and even a few items at $10 for some time now. Most of the pricier items are in one big isle, but check the shelf tags when you make your selections. Many items that were $1.25 have a $2 price.
Maybe they should just change the name of the store. How about “NOT The Dollar Tree!”

I know everything is high. Anna was saying one day that beef there is nearly $20 a pound! And I know the gas in the UK and elsewhere is way more than ours, and I think ours is just ridiculous.
