Day 130 – Journey
Numbers 9:15 Now on the day they raised the tabernacle, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; from evening until morning, it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire.
16 So it was always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
17 Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents.
18 At the command of JEHOVAH the children of Israel would journey, and at the command of JEHOVAH they would camp as long as the cloud stayed above the tabernacle, they remained encamped.
19 Even when the cloud continued long, many days above the tabernacle, the children of Israel kept the charge of JEHOVAH and did not journey.
23 At the command of JEHOVAH they remained encamped, and at the command of JEHOVAH they journeyed; they kept the charge of JEHOVAH, at the command of JEHOVAH by the hand of Moses.
God’s names:
JEHOVAH
Yeshuwa – Jesus
Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
Pneuma – Spirit, Breath
Theos – Supreme Divinity, God
God’s character:
Teacher, Instructor
Many times, in life you need to stay in one place until you receive instructions to move to another location. This is often seen during wartime when battalions move to various locations against the enemy. Work is another time when people relocate with their company, or they determine it’s time to find another job. Employment forms will often ask if you are willing to relocate.
JEHOVAH told Moses when they were to stay and when they were to set out on their journey by means of the fire by night and cloud by day.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you became available to the Lord’s leading in your life. Yeshuwa might keep you on the home front for your entire life or send you to the field as He did with the Paul on his missionary journeys. Wherever Yeshuwa sends you, you are to do His work, preaching the gospel to whoever will listen, by any means possible. The most effective witness is your life. You don’t need to say anything when you show the love of Yeshuwa in everything you do and say.
2 Corinthians 3:1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you?
2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known, and read by all men; 3 clearly you are an epistle of Christos, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Pneuma of the living Theos, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
People watch what you do. They hear what you say. When your words and actions line up with your Christian faith, they will accept you and could accept Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord. It depends on you and how you live your life in Yeshuwa Christos.
Will you allow JEHOVAH to lead you through your life? Will you stay or go at His command? People are watching.
Let’s pray: Father, lead me through the journey You have for me. Let me know when I need to stay and when I need to go. Don’t let me wander on my own without direction but let me know You are guiding me on my journey. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

They were fortunate that they had Moses, and such signposts of guidance, as the cloud, and the fire.
We have the Holy Spirit to guide us in our lives, and we should do our best to follow its guidance to us too.
