When I was a little girl living at my grandparent's house my grandmother would make up dozens of bouquets of flowers from her yard for Memorial Day to take to people she knew. I was her helper and all the bouquets would go in the pack of my Uncle Fred's Chevy pick-up who would drive us. I was along for the ride and to be her helper. We traveled to six or eight cemeteries all over the area. Two cemeteries here in Boise and several in surrounding towns. She remembered many people down through the years. There were friends, family members, vets from both World Wars, and people I had no idea who they were. One that I still recall was a homeopathic doctor that she went to for a awhile years before. She remembered so many and took them a bouquet each holiday for several years.
Do you take flowers to anyone?

No. We weren't those type of people.

That was really nice of your grandmother. No, we don't take flowers to anyone. The cemeteries are quite a ways away.

No, but I buy my wife flowers when ours are not in season (at Trader Joe's)
