What would you do?

Recently I purchased a brand new all-in-one desktop computer. It arrived safely in a timely fashion. I was excited to start using it but quickly found that I could only go as far as the defaultuser0 screen. I called both the seller for help, (which was no help) and Amazon where I ordered from (also no help) After several attempts to unlock the screen I am still unable to use the computer. If I return it for a refund they will charge me for the restocking fee. I don't want to keep it for fear of something else going wrong. What would you do?

As you re returning because it is defective and NOT because you changed mind they should not charge fees. I would complain with the BBB if they want to charge fees. Return it. If you reformat this could affect the warranty.

I would have returned it. I hope that thr restocking fee is not so high. It is shame that they could not help. The customer service is not professional and ethically they should return it without charging any thing.

@MaddieMae that's why I shop on Ebay. you don't have to go through all the hoops & loops that other places put you through.

I'd TAKE it to a Amazon place to have them look at it & help FIX it or I'd let them have it back & just pay the restocking fee & be done & I wouldn't EVER buy a computer or any appliance like that online.

If it's defective, you should not be charged a restocking fee. I would return it. Have a good week and good luck.
