In gratefulness, I write

As I wrote in my discussion yesterday we had some tense time last night. Though the cyclone Remal brought much destruction in the southern district ( South 24 Parganas) and to some extent in Kolkata, we were not totally unaffected. Electricity supply stopped and consequently other facilities were hampered. We could not run our water pump and fill our water tank. By evening we had run out of water stock. About 60 souls (orphan children and staff) live in the campus. They need ample water for cooking, drinking, washing and toilet needs. We brought water from the senior citizen campus, in buckets and bottles. We were carrying water at 10 o'clock night. And we hoped the stock would see us through the crisis. We went to bed by 11, but we had a hard time putting children to bed. I am grateful the crisis was solved sooner than expected. The electricity supply was restored at about midnight. All the necessities were taken care of. We filled the water tank, recharged the cellphone batteries and switched on the fridges. We reflected, sometimes we need such crisis to understand the value of blessings, which we often take for granted.

Certainly it's easy to take some of our blessings for granted.
