Looking forward to our US trip

We have plans to return to NYC in October, not just for a vacation but also for a purpose. We are traveling there expressly to retrieve my father-in-law's ashes and return him to his native land so that he can be laid to rest. To sum up, my father-in-law passed away in New York City in 2019. To give him her final respects, my wife went there. They attempted to convince their stepmother to return the ashes home at that period, but she refused, and it remained with their stepmother for the following five years. However, in 2024, they learned that she has passed away too. My wife tried to connect with the close of kins and tried her best to convince to turnover her father's ashes and to which was granted by them. That is why we have to book tickets this soon. On the other hand I am also hoping I could experience Fall Season there and enjoy it since we do not have that season in my place.

I'm glad you will be able to retrieve your father's ashes. I also hope you get to experience the fall. I guess you're hoping to see the beautiful foliage of the various trees.

Indeed, my sister, who resides there, told me that fall is her favorite season because it is not as hot as summer and the trees have a lot of color. Since there are no falls where I live, I have not experienced anything like that.

I'm stoked about our trip to the US. It's a rare occasion for us to have this kind of trip. I'm thinking I might start taking pictures again while I'm there.

My sister told me that October is a great time to go to New York City because the weather is mild and the leaves are turning color. I picked that time because I've already been there in springtime, and I didn't want to go during a cold or hot season. I can't wait to see the fall foliage and enjoy all the city's cultural attractions.

Although this is actually an unplanned trip but because of the circumstances we took the opportunity to make this trip some kind of pleasure trip over the real purpose behind it.

I guess so for my wife it would be a good reunion for them. She would be able to bring him back home and finally laid to rest.

Indeed, it took some time for my wife to persuade them to hand over the urn. However, things worked out nicely for them. But, I am excited to visit there in the fall. My sister said that this is a good season to watch because of the colors on the trees, so that is what I am hoping to see.

@HaruLoid That is true we only have two season summer and rainy season. Besides that there are a few months of cold and dry season but we never have fall or winter in our place.

Looking forward to that one too. I have been there during spring but t was too cold for me. Although I could tolerate the weather for as long as I stay indoors.
