Song Searching for our Wedding

Today I am sat at my dining table staring at my wild flower arrangement while listening classical music. It is quite calming and soothing. We hired a harpist for our wedding at a cloister and in order to avoid paying for music licensing we decided to use classic songs instead of the modern ones. Next would be the reception music which can be more modern. We hired a DJ for this part so I am now in need of dance music. Any recommendations?

What music do you dance to back then? Music does not grow old. I do not mind some retros.

@flapiz We had no music and did not dance during our wedding reception, this was not at all the habit in Milan when I got married.

@LadyDuck See this is my worry. As the culture is different. I want to incorporate money dance like in my culture but I do not know if the Italians won't appreciate that.

I can't offer any suggestions for dancing music but most DJs know what to play to get people up on the dance floor.

I could just let him take the reigns if I do not manage to form a playlist as I am getting a bit overwhelmed as so many decisions to be made.

@flapiz that does sound overwhelming with everything there is to plan for a wedding.

@Marilynda1225 Today I have done the cloister music, chosen a cake design, chosen the flowers as well and also got my shoes.

I can't help but I'm sure some others will be able to. Classic songs will be a great choice for the formal part of your wedding.

Yes I feel like harp is such a beautiful instrument and I think classic music fits the ambience.
