Our Biggest ENEMY

I'll definitely do this from TOMORROW..
I'll start this NEXT WEEK..
I can do this LATER..
The list goes endlessly on. Sounds familiar? Well, it is to me.
Lately, I have started realizing that Procrastination is our biggest enemy. The habit of stalling things for no reason really takes a toll on us in the long run.
It starts small then it begins to pile up to an extent that we hardly want to confront it, let alone complete it and then comes the guilt and frustration of having done this in the first place, ironically, while still doing it.
It's like a loop.
I often make plans about writing more, exercising regularly, reading more but just end up wasting my time in unnecessary things.
I get temporary motivation with online videos about "How to stop procrastinating" and books of the same niche and at the moment it feels like from tomorrow it'll be a new me but then the next day it is all the same. I guess it's a fitting saying that - Old habits, die hard!"
I could have achieved a lot more by now if I didn't make by biggest enemy my best friend.
But, then I also read somewhere that - "It's never too late to be what you might have been".
So, with that thought in mind, I'll start challenging myself for just one thing everyday - to defeat this enemy.
Have any of you been facing this problem? How do you cope? Any suggestions are more than welcome.

In my case I try to beat procrastination with the thoughts of if I fail to go to work, I will lose my possessions.

@Deepizzaguy That's a great thought and I believe also a great source of motivation for anyone.

@Ishani08 I have seen what happens when a person does not want to do something that puts food on the table.

@Deepizzaguy Yes, I totally agree and it certainly is awful. And the bargain is pretty simple if you don't want to endanger your livelihood the least you could do is change a bad habit and slowly eradicate it from your system.

By not punishing myself when I put something off. Being sure to listen to my body and reminding myself it's okay. Not everyone puts life off because they want to be lazy, but because self-care is just as important. Things are getting done, and I still prioritize life. I do what's important and don't put what can't wait off. You just have to figure out where your priorities lie, and what can and can't wait. Things like writing need to be done when you want to do them, not because you feel like you have to. Forcing yourself to do somethingyou really don't want to do that you don't have to do solves nothing.

@Ishani08 I had to learn it the hard way, but I think it's a good one.
