Our building was shaking today

Everything in my room vibrated. It seemed like it was an earthquake. But fortunately, they are resurfacing the road near us. There was construction equipment near us. They are huge. The cats were terrified and the noise was very strong. Finally, they will resurface the street. They didn't finish their work and they will make noise every day. If the building was shaking an earthquake would affect it a lot.

Vibration must have terrified the pets, imagining the vibration everyday itself makes me uncomfortable

I remember feeling our apartment shake when trains came by. So, I understand how that is. Our house is far enough from train tracks, so we're good.

Thank goodness it was no earthquake. That's nice that they are resurfacing your road. My neighborhood road desperately needs to be repaved. Because it's not a major road, the County puts it last in the repaving que.
