How do you manage your finance efficiently?

This has been a challenging question for some. With the rate of inflation, plus decreasing savings, how do we manage our finances ? For me, I reduce my unwanted expenditure, invest in stocks and mutual funds and then having a budget for everything. The focus this year has been to reduce the debts. Not yet having a breakthrough in the areas and long way from achieving financial independence. So How do you manage your finance?

What my parents taught me was don't go into debt, and try to keep saving even a little... if possible, I have to keep turning over that money until I produce something that can meet daily needs. Currently, I am still struggling hard, especially since I have been unemployed for quite a long time.
