Rat entered my room

I had laid a trap in the balcony, and the windows were wide open...last night a big, fat rat got trapped, but somehow in the morning it got loose and went off the trap & entered my room through window. I realised that something was wrong at one corner of the room, below the sofa and when I bend over to check....OMG, it was that rat sitting scared.
I then called the watchman of our building, who helped me get rid of the rodent. It was a ruckus in a Sunday morning. Have you ever faced such situation?

@Rimps85 in building, i think they put a long time ago a poison and at my parents' house, every half year, some experts come and offer poison for rats for every house. i think we had rat only once, when i was little and since there are cats around, no way for rat or mouse to enter

I had a rat in my bathroom. My dad put a trap. The rat was caught in the trap and he took the rat outside. And it didn't return. But it was preparing to come into my room. I could hear noises in the wall. It was scary, but my therapist didn't think a rat could be a problem.

I was surprised how the rat can break out of trap,we placed trap of cage before,and caught a rat at next morning.Maybe you need a stronger trap next time,

We have experienced that kind of situation at our Office. When contractors were repairing the Office's ceiling, a big fat rat suddenly jumped out of the ceiling and started to run around the Office. Everyone just went screaming and running because of the rat while some were chasing after it trying to hit it with a broom or something. Thankfully, someone was able to hit it with a broom.
Despite all the ruckus, that situation has become part of my memory core.
