Chad Called This Afternoon / myLot

This afternoon, my son Chad called. Hearing his voice was so nice and our love is obvious. At one time, he didn't communicate as much. I falsely believed, that he didn't care about his mother any longer. Instead, they were both working hard to make ends meet. This is a part of the real world. If a person doesn't work, they are shunning their adult responsibilities. Chad has always worked hard, even when he was living with us for a couple years. Jay worked at Bernard Building Center in the estimating department. Chad hired in working in the paint department and eventually, he worked at the counter. The Bernard's were impressed by Chad's extreme amount of ambition. Then, they moved him to their newer business at the Au Gres store. Jay remained at their store in Hale at his original job. When Chad and Kristine got married, they relocated to Grand Rapids, Mi. They did this so Kristine could start her new job teaching school, 20 miles away in Greenville, Mi. In 2001, they bought a nice older home on Pearl Street in Greenville. They've lived in this house for 24 years and they love it!

I am so happy that he connected with you today and that you are so wonderfully happy about it. There is such a special bond between mothers and sons, almost indescribable, but very very sweet. He has done well in his career.

@Juliaacv Our family was taught, if we didn't work hard things wouldn't get done. And passing this down to my children, they both learned to have good work ethics.

It sounds like they have made a very good life for themselves. It is nice that you understand that and that he is communicating more now.

Kristine is done teaching school this week, for summer vacation. They will be tending their gardens, almost every day. Or spending time with her parents, who live about one hour east of Greenville.
