Low energy

United States

I have been experiencing low energy lately. I feel like I am running on empty. Or worse yet that my "car" is parked. I am in my early 60's and I do take a multi vitamin. Could it be a matter of what food I have been eating? I am a creature of habit which means that I usually have the same thing for breakfast daily. Lunch is a salad but supper is random.

Maybe you should look into adding protein into your meals and snacks? Maybe add an electrolyte mix to your water, like Nuun or Liquid IV.

There can be a number of factors. Some people do fine staying consistant and eating the same things and following the same routine. The low energy could have many causes. It could be age, and a change in physical activity. It could be your body saying you need a change, or it could be you getting sick with something. Try altering your diet and trying to add something like D3 for added energy.

May be you lack iron in your diet. Iron deficiency may leave you tired and sometimes also short of breath. You can take iron supplements.

Try more protein in your diet and stay hydrated. Good luck.

I am eating the same food every day and I experience low energy too. I am not a creature of habit, but I am forced to eat the same food every day.
