Doncha hate it when a bill is more than you think it is going to be?

I thought I saw somewhere that my internet bill was going to be 30.00 for the partial month of May. I knew they hadn't charged for the installation and when I went to pay it it was 74. I was not a happy camper. She explained that it was for the partial month of May and all of June... Of course June just started. I guess after I pay this one, it will go down to the normal rate. It is supposed to be 49 per month..not bad for broadband. Anyway, the bill is not due until the 15th so I decided to hold off on paying it for now. I should hopefully have some more money in the coffers by then..and won't have to put it on a card. Is your internet affordable or expensive?

That is a good deal! To get it all for 60 is quite marvelous. Friend wants to get the phone on this plan but I don't want to. This is the second line. He pays it now, and I don't even want it. If I put it in the with the internet I know I will end up paying for it.

@snowy22315 We are with this same provider since we bought this house 25 years ago. When we told them we could have a better deal, they lowered the price and we now have a good deal.

@LadyDuck I have a story about that..but it is too disgusting to tell. I will keep it as my own private horror..

Our cable bill is $280 per month which I think is outrageous. It includes TV/internet/telephone.

That is terrible. I would shop around. Do you have Spectrum? That is what my parents have, and my mom often complains of the bill.

I had cable for years. It got worse as to what was actually on there to watch, way too many sports that I am not interested in...and it was inching up every single month. So ridiculous. I was not sorry to go to streaming. I get live local news and programs, live mainstream news, and more shows and movies than I could ever watch. Wonderful selections of things to enjoy, way more than cable, for a lot less money.
Cable costs will continue to go up. The lady I know that runs our cable office said that their costs go up monthly, and they have to be passed on. She also said (not to offend anyone, just the truth) that basically the only people paying for cable now are over 70, and they don't want to change. Well, no one wants change. But streaming is a good change, and I am so glad I did cut that cord. I don't pay nearly the amount I was paying with cable, and it's so much better.

@snowy22315 We were still lucky to get a cheaper price than before, we didn't have many choices of providers.

Internet bill has been the same for a long time, specially since I told my provider that I´d go elsewhere if they did not do something about it. But some months ago I had a water bill that was outrageous. I checked it with Mario, who helps me with everything, and he found 2 big leaks in the toilettes WCs. He changed old insides of them and the bill went down.

That is good. I need to do something about the weather stripping or something this winter. Although the insulation is great..I think there are leaks around some of the windows and doors. It costs more to heat this place then I think it should.

@marguicha I know about that. My windows are double or triple glazed though. It is usually just older houses that do that. I need something in the crevices not over the window itself

@snowy22315 Afriend who worked with solar energy told me decades ago to put plastics over the windows in winter. It helps a lot. It is better still if you leave some space between the glass and the plastic.

Mine definitely costs more than yours. I need to see if I am eligible for some kind of Senior Citizen plan.

My mother has been paying the bill. And it was high so we switched to Metro by T Mobile and it's reasonable.

You hit a sore spot...For the past year I have paid $92 for Just Internet..that includes a $30 discount from Biden. LOL He must have forgotten about renewing it as it went away This month. But, I called and got a new deal of $85 a month for 2 years. You would probably say that's not bad and it IS better than the $122 in total I would have had to pay last year IF the Govt. didn't pay that $30 a month. YOU are getting a Hell of a Deal. Sounds like AT&T...When I had Direct TV, I got a better deal with ATT than Comcast. Thinking about getting Tom to call in and talk to ATT. Direct TV screwed me and charged me for a 1 1/2 months that I did not use their service, and I will NEVER pay them, so I can not get ATT. But Tom can. Anyway..you really DID get a Deal.

I am one of the lucky ones my Internet along with utilities are included in my rent. My friend here collects my rent and then he makes all the necessary payments for his household and mine, As long as my Interent is up and running I have not complaints, He just recently replaced my PC which was stalling with a better version and now it is running fine, I hope you Internet goes back to your normal payment,

I went from paying $270 and going down to $150 now but that is internet/cable. landline. I use all three daily. I watch more cable than the other streaming channels on my Roku thing
I only use my landline and will only answer my cell phone if my family accidentally calls. (My Uncle called me on the way to pick me up on Tuesday) Everybody I know has been told to call me only on my landline

i have both tv and internet in one and i think it would be cheaper to have phone too but with cells, who needs phone anyways and, i hate that they can increase the price due to one detail in their policy, bad market or something. i mean, that is not my problem but, hey, what to do. they are the most cheapest provider so, i am tolerating them. i feel you with your case
