Only one day after my decision of not buying groceries this month, cyber day started at my supermarket.
i "bought" in paper all I wanted, just to get the cravings off my chest. But I will only buy Luna´s food and a must that I have to buy: candles.
I have candles everywhere in my house because of earthquakes. But during this last rain with wind, we had electricity problems for almost a day and I used all my cancles, even the few aromatic ones I had. And candles in my country are a must.
They are not expensive. But if I bought all the cyber day offers, I´d be broke. They have all sorts of things I don´t need, from meat to wine.
But NO!!! I´ll stick to my challenge.
Today I ate a piece of black whole grain bread with half an avocado (of those that were on sale the last time I ordered groceries). I will have to eat the rest of the avocados soon and that will make the cheese last until the end of the month. The avocado was delicious. This is the second one I eat. Yesterday´s one was good too. With one more good one, I will have paid for the whole bunch. There were sold at half their price.
Do you spend part of your day trying to make ends meet, friends? I do now.
Now I will go to my notifications. See you around.

I mostly spend just on food so I add some luxuries to my groceries. But this month I will have to pay several extras so I challenged myself to use part of all the food I´m hoarding and only buy Luna´s food.

@marguicha - I am also eating what we have now in our refrigerator and freezer. I want to clean out my freezers.

That's the fun of living from paycheck to paycheck.

We only buy what we need and buy very few luxuries. And I buy double if staples are really cheap.

With my husband not home, groceries are half what we usually spend; but we are on self-pay at the rehab facility; so that is a definite concern.

I could not eat decently if I didn´t cook from scratch. I even make my appetizers from scratch when I have visitors.

I always keep candles, too. We never know, we might need them. We have had to get them out after tornados, etc.
And yes, since my son cannot work right now, it makes finances very tight. I literally watch every cent I have to spend.
