I Hate Ads But... / myLot

I have been buying some movies from an inexpensive movie site and I found an ad for a blue-ray video that sounds like a fun time looking back at drive-in movies. You folks may recall @MarieCoyle 's post about looking back at drive-ins. I saw this "It's The Intermission Time Video Party". It is old commercials from the old drive-in movie days. Remember the "9 minutes to showtime" and the ads for hotdogs and drinks that would show during intermission and before the second movie started? I remember them vividly. The little jingle that played as hotdogs danced across the screen. This might be cute to watch. The picture is courtesy of ultraswank.net

Never went much to the drive-in, but when we first moved to Richmond, BC, we could see the drive-in screen from our back window. No sound, though.

@celticeagle They tore it down a couple years later and held swap meets there on the weekends. Now it's a whole other subdivision.

Oh, I do remember some of these commercials! The dancing popcorn. There was one where an ice cream cone chased a hot dog, I remember thinking, the ice cream couldn't catch up. There were others I am sure for each drive in. I remember too, when the screen would point to the refreshment stand with arrows right before the commercials--like no one knew where it was! Thank you, for adding such a special detail to my drive in memories!
