Dixie came to have breakfast with me.

Good morning, friends. I woke up to the phone. Dixie was going to take one of her grandsons to school and could she come for a cup of tea at my home on her way back? Considering that I live part of my life at her house I said of course and started to move clothes more to the living room so that she´d have room to sit at the dining table. While I put back the tablecloth on the table, I thought about what did I have to offer to her. I still had an avocadoand Dixie herself had brought her own no caffeine coffee sometime ago along with coffee mate. I did not have time to wash the dishes I had from yesterday but I turned on the heater. And there is a reasonable sun for the first time in weeks. Dixie only has me to tell about her fights with Humberto (I don´t know of any good marriage that does not fight). But she says that I´m the only person who can understand her and yet, love Humberto so much that I won´t be angry at him forever. Which is true, of course. This last time they had problems because Humberto is now in need of a hearing device and won´t think about getting one "as they are too expensive". And he has problems with what Dixie tells him because he hears something else. I told her that he was an a$$*ole. I can love him but still think that. This year, Humberto went asailing for 2 months. And then went to Europe with some friends for 3 weeks. Gimme a break! And his loved car is a Jaguar. And although the car has some years, a Jaguar is a Jaguar. So I let Dixie say all she wanted about her beloved husband. And then wetalked about the good part of her news. Camila, her musician daughter, just won one of the most important prizes that Chile gives to musicians. In another category, she was as good as one of the most famous Chilean pop musicians, Mon Laferte. So part of the dishes are still waiting in the kitchen but I had the most wonderful breakfast in many days. I only have these breakfasts when I go to Dixie´s. Their biggest meal is breakfast.
