Gallbladder Issues

Anyone here had gallbladder issues? Like Gallstones? I feel like I have been living with this awful pain for ages. I was first diagnosed last year around January 2023. In April 2023 I was admitted to hospital with a pancreatic attack which caused pancreatitis caused by gallstones. I was then told I would be put on an urgent list for removal. I have had several gallbladder attacks and pancreatic attacks since my first diagnoses, which I dealt with at home with painkiller from the GP. Everyone said you should go to A & E every time you get a flare.... well I cant sit there for 9 hours in pain for them to send me home with the same painkillers prescribed by my Doctor. It shouldn't work like that, but apparently this pushes you further up the list. In between all these attacks I am trying to look after my family, run a home and hold down a full time job. Fast forward to May 2024, I went to see my GP about something unrelated. He was gobsmacked that I had even seen anyone yet. He then contacted the surgeon and I was seen within 2 weeks. I had my appointment with the surgeon. It lasted 10 minutes. He told me I needed an MRI scan to check to make sure there were no rogue stones stuck in any ducts. So I have just had that done last week, and now waiting for the results, not sure how long they take to come through but lets hope not too long. I know the NHS are at breaking point which is why I have waited without pushing, but honestly I feel for everyone that is needing medical help and just cant get an appointment, Crazy times we are living in.

My aunt has a gallbladder polyp, and she has already removed the gallbladder. I also have a gallbladder polyp, which is only 0.8 centimeters long. The doctor has asked me to have an annual check-up, and if it exceeds 1 centimeter, I will consider the next step of treatment.

You should have had it removed long ago. I also had to have an MRI before the removal to make sure there were no stones in ducts but the hospital had the results in hours.
