Have to pay attention to the clues:yesterday the hubster and I put up the last of the berry garden fence. He did the hard work, pounding rebar stakes into te ground with a hammer. While he did that I pulled bind weed from the strawberries. He finished then said he needed help getting to the swing. Too much exertion. He felt better after a cold drink and a nice sit. Last night I was on the front porch with Moxe dog. A month ago I attempted to teach her to lie down when told to. Nope. Not doing it. Can't make me. Last night she suddenly offered to lie down when I told Rufus to do it. I heaped tons of praise on Moxe. She laid down twice then headed off to other things. It's morning. Tons of cheery summer sun. My right shoulder is telling me too many pain stories. I guess I'm not hoeing weeds today. I pulled the hose around, watering all gardens last night. Guess its light duty for me today for sure.

That sounds like Patch border collie. She learned to lay down easy but we still have not mastered roll over. Instead she was scotching backwards. So I decided to teach that for now

@sallypup She is young and loves to roll and even wiggle on her back right now. If she would start acting like it hurts I would stop using that command

@wolfgirl569 Rufus is like that. He wiggles on his back to scratch it often. I worry about him but he appears to be fine right now. Heelers can be such maniacs.

@wolfgirl569 I stopped teaching a dog to roll over after my Sally started having arthritis issues. I could see that rolling over could cause a dog to hurt.

If your body wants you to take it easy, you should listen.

Moxie and Rufus seem to be competing for your praise.

We need to listen to our bodies, that's for sure.

Give your shoulder a rest. I hope your hubby is OK after all that hard work. Moxe and Rufus sound like a handful. Have a great day.

Working together with your husband on the berry garden fence and tending to the strawberries shows real dedication. And Moxe's sudden obedience is a pleasant surprise! It's essential to listen to your body and take it easy when needed, especially with your shoulder bothering you. Hopefully, some light duties today will give you the rest you need while still enjoying the cheery summer sun.

@zainkhan121 Good to hear from you. Thanks for the nice comments. Moxe dog is a rescue gal. I am not sure what she was used to before we adopted her. She's really trying hard to be a good girl.

Sounds like lots got accomplished today. I think your shoulder is asking for a rest. I am going to do some yard work today, but the sun has come out strong now. I will wait until closer to sunset. It will be more comfortable then.
