Nurse saves the life of an umpire who collapsed during a baseball game

Lakeysha Pack who is a registered nurse who was in attendance at a high school baseball game in Downey California when the home umpire Rudy Lopez who is 74 years old collapsed in October 2023 took action to use her skills as a nurse working in a hospital at UCLA Mattel Hospital took care of Rudy until paramedics arrived to take Rudy after a bystander called 911.
Rudy was taken to a local hospital where doctors found out that Rudy suffered a heart arrack. The good news is that Rudy survived.
The Los Angeles Dodgers organization honored both Rudy and Lakeysha were invited to throw the first pitch of the baseball game on May 31 which was a honor for both persons to be there at Dodger Stadium.

That's a remarkable story of quick thinking and skilled action in a critical moment. It's heartening to hear that Rudy recovered, thanks to Lakeysha's intervention. Being invited to throw the first pitch at Dodger Stadium must have been a truly special honor for them both.
