Ever just need junk food?

I practiced music with some friends today. We have a gig on Thursday night.
When I was done I was hungry. I knew that "real food" would not do. I needed Taco Bell.
I bought three Super Tacos, or whatever they call them, and brought them home.
I ate them with some beer on the side.
Life was good.
Do you ever simply need some junk food in you life?

Not Taco Bell although some of their food does epitomize “junk”. But a little better quality of Mexican fast food like Taco Beuno, or Del Taco. Do you have either of those?
And I don’t drink, but sometimes I have to stop myself from grabbing a Coke. Sometimes well meaning people forget my efforts to give up Coke, bring me some, and I drink it, grateful they forgot.

@TheHorse As a youth, knowing no better, I found value in my local Taco Bell. Later in life, I was exposed to better. And once you know better, you hopefully don’t go back.
Same with Coke. Your mother only lets you have Diet Coke growing up, but as you get older you have Coke. One should never go back. No, one should never touch either one of those, but you get the point.

@AmbiePam Taco Bell is not "lesser" Mexican food to me. It's not really Mexican food. It is an entity entirely unto itself. Heh. Same with a Big Mac. It is not a "cheeseburger." It is a giant blob like no other. I still have one once every other year or so.

It sounds like you had a fun and satisfying day! Sometimes, indulging in some junk food like Taco Bell can really hit the spot. Life's all about those little joys, right?

@TheHorse Absolutely! Treating yourself to some indulgent junk food can be a great way to unwind and enjoy life's simple pleasures. What's your favorite go-to treat when you're in the mood for something indulgent?

I love junk food. Recently due to my health conditions I had to stop having junk food. I haven’t cut down completely because that is not possible for me. But I have limited it. I had Mc Donalds just a month ago and I truly enjoyed it. July is my Bday and I already have plans to treat myself with junk food the whole day
I also love bbq so when I have the urge to eat junk I go and satisfy my tastebuds with a good bbq grill.

When I am tired from work, I order takeout, but I am not sure about the food hygiene and safety of takeout. When gutter oil was exposed, we were all shocked

My grandson enjoys Taco Bell. I don't care for it. Especially after reading that the meat they use comes in powder form. Ugh! I do enjoy real Mexican enchiladas and tamales, rice and brown beans too. We do eat a lot of junk food.

I used to eat a lot of junk food when I went to university. Then in Latvia ti was too expensive to have and now I have a lot of fast food places nearby but I don't have the finances,

@TheHorse if junk food had been expensive while I was at university in the early 1980s I would have spent a small fortune on it

Yes, there is a time and place for junk food. I only need to control the time and place.

Occasionally. I could go for a DQ chicken strips box -- chicken strips, fries and garlic toast. Sooooo good. Have a good week.

Junk foods are not kind to me. I have been eating what I am sure you would term ''healthy'' for quite some time now. It has paid off in the weight loss I was striving for, and I have a lot more energy than I had before I decided I had to change my ways...if I do eat anything greasy, I am usually pretty much tied up in knots. I make tacos and fajitas and burritos, etc. at home, and I do love them. But I know what's in them and they don't make me sick like I know Taco Bell would...plus they are cheaper and healthier.
I will leave the junk food to you, Pony. Don't give any to Kitty. She is surely smart enough not to eat that stuff!
