Plants That Hummingbirds Love / myLot

If you develop a lovely garden in your yard with plants that hummingbirds like they will return for years to come. Some of the plants they enjoy are as follows: The Cigar Plant, Impatiens, Begonia, Lantana, Bee Balm, Day Lily, Fuchsia, the Sonnet Snapdragons, Dianthus, Petunias and Red Hot Pokers. I didn't know lot of plants but those are what they feed them I guess?? and there is no hummingbirds here. I wish there is. but sadly none

They must have nectar in them. There are many photos of them online.

Don't forget trumpet vines, hollyhocks and morning glories, I have 2 of those growing here and when it isn't too hot the hummer comes to feed

Just listed the ones that are blooming all that period. Maybe these aren't. Not sure.

I live in a desert and lots of the plants you mentioned wouldn't grow that well here, even the hollyhock and trumpet vine have to be constantly watered to live which can hurt the wallet sometimes. You probably have high humidity which plants love and we don't get more than 10% most of the time.

@rebelann ........Perhaps the hummingbird wouldn't like there either. We are at 11% humidity right now.

I haven't seen a real hummingbird yet. They are not available here. Perhaps they are only available in North America. They are very interesting birds to me.
