Two very good things, and two very bad things!

The older I get makes me realize that life often equals out. The good and the bad, the yin and the yang..part of the rhythm of life. I started out this AM negotiating with this survey site who has owed 60+ dollars since April. They were telling me it was fixed .no it wasn't, but they kept working on it. So anyway started off early for my appointment In Charlottesville. Hit road construction 3x and then my phone wouldn't work at all. It lost the signal although it had been working at home..so the directions of exactly where I was to go were lost. Plus I was really thirsty and would have stopped for a drink, but I wasted so much time in the construction. I didn't dare. Long story short got there half an hour late So, anyway I did the study and got My Amazon cards (good) then my phone was back online. I cashed out of the site that owed me money..Yippee! (V. Good) Of course when I was telling friend about all this..he was saying Why didn't you use that GPS locator I got you? That would have made alot of sense, but I wasn't even thinking of it Well, all's well that ends well. How was your day?

You are right, the good and the bad, but the good won out in the long run. I worked in the office today. We have floor to ceiling windows, and are on the 7th floor. It was sunny today-I had a massive headache during the night, it reignited when I was at work and there was so much bright light. On a happier note, it has surpassed now that I am home again.

I always bring the GPS locator in the car with us, as you never know. You can say that you had a good day.

I actually have it in the car. I have used it before, but have gotten used to relying on my phone It is packed away so I don't see it, but I will remember to use it if I am in such a predicament again. I stopped at Starbucks since they have outside seating and free wifi and was able to download the directions..and phone MaP stayed on.

@snowy22315 The screen of the GPS is bigger than the one of the phone, I like it better and I can enter the destination and it gives the directions as we go.

@snowy22315 It sounds like your day did not start out good when you were driving and for your friend to say that because he did not listen to the part that your phone did not work so the GPS would not work either. it is Tuesday here and we have a holiday that starts at night so will not be here at all tomorrow.

I'm glad you finally got to the study and got your Amazon cards. Hope you have a better day today. My day was OK. Made several calls regarding home repairs, etc.

Yes, still having some issues there but that was the main thing I was concerned with. I can figure out the rest.

I've only messed with GPS type stuff when I was home with my laptop. I'm sorry you had aggravations today.

It doesn't really matter at this point, because it was all hunky dory in the end.

This is so true and I often say if you get a windfall (cash or somesuch) then you can expect an unanticipated bill for about the same amount.

Yeah, I was thinking this morning that I might need to buy another phone. That would have taken a chunk of cash. Everything seems to be going OK with the phone at this point though. I guess maybe it was just a fluke.
