Day 146 – Consequences Numbers 20:22 Then the children of Israel journeyed from Kadesh and came to Mount Hor. 23 JEHOVAH spoke to Moses and Aaron in Mount Hor by the border of the land of Edom, saying, 24 “Aaron will be gathered to his people, for he will not enter the land which I gave to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against My word at the water of Meribah. 25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son and bring them up to Mount Hor; 26 and strip Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son; for Aaron will be gathered to his people and die there.” 27 Moses did as JEHOVAH commanded, and they went up to Mount Hor in the sight of the congregation. 28 Moses stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain. 29 When the congregation saw Aaron was dead, the house of Israel mourned for Aaron thirty days. God’s names: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Yeshuwa – Jesus Iesous – Jesus Christos – Anointed One, Messiah Theos – Supreme Divinity, God Kurios – Supreme Authority, God God’s character: Holy Judge People believe they can go through life without facing the consequences of their actions. They seem to live a charmed life. Everyone knows they are guilty of wrongdoing, but they couldn’t prove it. They didn’t have enough evidence against them to bring them before a judge. When He directed the children of Israel to Mount Hor, he told Moses to bring Aaron and Eleazar, his son, to the top of the mountain. When they did, JEHOVAH told them Aaron would die because of their rebellion at the water of Meribah. As soon as Aaron took off his anointed garments, He died. Because the anointing was on him, JEHOVAH couldn’t kill him when he rebelled. JEHOVAH is your Judge. If you make I through this life without facing the consequences of your actions, you will face JEHOVAH. He knows everything about your life from the moment you were born until He calls you to your eternal rest. Psalm 139:1 (For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.) O JEHOVAH, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thoughts afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O JEHOVAH, You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before and laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it. 7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will hold me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will fall on me,” even the night will be light about me; 12 indeed, the darkness will not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. 13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. In Your book they were written, the days fashioned for me, when there were none of them. JEHOVAH formed you and knows you. You cannot hide from Him. What you do in secret, He sees. He knows your thoughts and your rebellion. When He calls you home, it won’t matter how good a Christian you were. It won’t matter what people think of you. The only thing that matters when you stand before Him will be whether you confessed your sin and asked for forgiveness for your actions. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (NKJV) Don’t let your sin separate you from JEHOVAH for eternity. JEHOVAH told Aaron and Moses he would be gathered to his people. When Aaron died, he went to his fathers who preceded him in death. If Aaron had not confessed his sin, JEHOVAH wouldn’t have told him he gathered him to his people. He would see those who went before, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and those who walked in His ways. When you die, if you acknowledged Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you too would see your loved ones who also accepted Him, and you will be with Yeshuwa and JEHOVAH for eternity. Do you need to confess your sins? Don’t let the consequences of your sin die with you. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Theos is eternal life in Christos Iesous our Kurios. Let’s pray: Father, I know I am a rebel and deserve eternal separation from You. I acknowledge my sin and ask you to forgive me so that when You call me home, I won’t face the consequences of my rebellion, but will enjoy eternal life with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. I reckon that's why I have a running dialogue with God. It should be obvious that an omniscient and omnipotent God can visit everything we think.

God acts for the best reasons to help us in our life, and we need to accept his actions in our life, and never rebel against his directions, as if we do rebel, there are always consequences for rebelling against God.
