Happy Independence Day

Philippines

I've noticed people selling or stores displaying the country's flag since last month. It is also one of my sister in laws bday. Mom and aunts went with them for a bday dinner. I didn't attend but they gave me a take out so it was nice. Anyways, there's no fireworks just military parade and sorts. I'm happy that we are allowed to express our free speech and choice of almost everything. have a nice day

Well, our Independence day was like an ordinary day. No celebration whatsoever. By the way, belated happy birthday to your sister -in-law.

Thank you for the greeting. Yeah it's ordinary for us in the neighborhood and cities.

I believe many people have been doing this over the last few days, but only a few would take one and put it on their cars, as they used to. I suppose people have slowed down in expressing their nationalist sentiments.

I can show my nationalist sentiment with out the flag but I already have two flags so I don't need to buy a new one.
