Access to medication abortion is safe. . . for now

The US Supreme Court announced a unanimous decision that upheld access to mifepristone which is one of the 2 medications used in non-surgical abortions. A group of doctors who are against abortion sued to have the medication restricted and used the argument that it was unsafe. (it isn't) Surprisingly the Court unanimously decided that the group did not have standing to bring the suit since they did not show that they personally were adversely affected by the government's actions regulating mifepristone. They didn't offer an opinion on regulation or safety. So access to medication abortion is preserved for now. It can still be mailed and prescribed via telehealth visits. This is good news for women.

It's so scary how women in the US are just losing their rights, more and more everyday.

I wholly agree. And the only word is "scary".

I’m glad to hear that. I was thinking about this today during my walk. About 105 years ago, the “Moral Majority” of the day tried to “legislate morality” with the 18th Amendment. What happened? *We still had drinking. *We had deaths from “illegal hootch.” *We got the rise of the Mob. And, after 14 years, we had the law repealed. “You can’t legislate morality” isn’t a slogan or a catchphrase. It’s the truth…and, if people would read clearly enough, one of the central themes of the Bible (that they’re continually bashing people over the head with).
