May I have your prayers since I am probably going to convenient care this weekend when my sister can take me

Good morning mylotters!
I may have mentioned once that my sister said I have a sty in one of my eyes. Well, she didn't see it and guessed. I asked my peer yesterday (my sister told me to ask her) because she also has a degree as a physician's assistant.
My peer seemed to be pretty positive I have pink eye She said my left eye looks pinker than the right. so I assume I may have it in both eyes
When I told her how my eyes felt. Such as both feeling like they have sand in them. (I don't even bother washing them anymore as they feel like they have sand in them again minutes later).
also, my eyes always feel tired and as if I want to close they feel so miserable when I have them open.
I forgot to ask my peer if burning eyes have to do with pink eye as they have started to sometimes burn since this problem started last Saturday. the burning eyes feel like I am in the bright sunshine and don't have sunglasses.
My sister texted me at 8:46 p.m. yesterday while I was sleeping that she found a convenient care that is open on Saturday and Sunday associated with the hospital system all my doctors belong and she could take me. I was thinking of the location I usually go to and they are open on the weekdays
I am afraid I will have to put eye drops in my eyes because eyes, looking at them and doing things with them like eye drops cause me nausea. I have been like that most of my life
have you or a loved one ever had pinkeye?
May I have your prayers? they would be appreciated!

The sand feeling in my eyes is one of the symptoms my peer told me was a symptom of pink eye.
I trust my sister will get me to the doctor who will help me by however they treat it

@LadyDuck At first I thought I was just tired as I once read in a book when a person is tired the eyes feel scratchy and burning, But last Saturday they started to hurt a little bit. they don't hurt anymore thankfully then they started to feel like sand and that is when I realized something was wrong.
Yes, I know my sister will get me to the doctor

One of my grandsons had pinkeye last year, it raced through his classroom at school. The doctor told them the best thing for relief was to lie back with a wet, cold washcloth on his eyes. He said it immediately felt so, so good. And water isn't going to hurt...if you have to go to the doctor, tell them you don't want eyedrops, they can give you an eye ointment instead.

My grandson said it really helped. I hate eye drops, too. They burn my eyes so badly. I always ask for ointment.
I hope you soon feel better, Jennifer!

@MarieCoyle I don't like the eye drops make my eyes feel. that is if I can even get them in my eyes. My eyes don't like anything near them.
Thank you for wishing me well soon!

I remember times with barely any kids in the class in grade school once in a while from Pinkeye.
I bet it feels good to have a wet, cold washcloth on them. it sounds good
I am going to convenient care today. My sister found one that is part of the hospital system all my doctors are associated with and they are open on the weekends.
the one I usually go to whenever I have an injury or illness is also where all my doctors are associated but it is only open on weekdays.
I will bring up ointment if the doctor suggests eye drops. I think once I read they give antibiotics for pinkeye, I may put that on the list I am making of things to tell the doctor because I either get nervous or I forget something I want to say
Thanks for telling me about the washcloths. I will try that and i am sure it will make me feel better

I hope to get better soon. I don't know what they'll do to me, but if it makes me feel better I will accept it.

@eliza_godinez12 Thank you. I went to convenient care and I have allergic conjunctivitis in both eyes - in other words, I am suffering from allergies.
I have always had nasal allergies but this is the first time for my eyes.

@TheHorse thank you, especially for the wishes for my sister, My sister only has it in one eye but that one eye I think has been hurting her. She doesn't complain but I admit I am worried about it.

thank you! My sister is taking me to convenient care tomorrow. so hopefully they will do something about it.
I hope I don't have what my sister has as she has had something wrong with her eyes for several months and nobody knows what is wrong. She has to go to an ophthalmologist

@paigea I have to make lists or I am confused beyond belief. I have to make a list to get out of the house. I write down everything I have to take such as my keys, purse, etc. I gather each thing and cross them off my list before I leave the house.
My list for Urgent Care worked well

yes I agree it is best that I see a professional because as my peer says I have to read with my eyes
Thanks for the good wishes, I am hoping maybe I can take an antibiotic and all will be well. I have a list of what medicines I take in case they want to prescribe anything so that there is not a bad side effect

I am doing great today, thanks for asking!
I got the diagnosis of allergic conjunctivitis in both eyes- that is another way of saying I have allergies.
My eyes didn't get teary when these allergies started like you mentioned you get. They are very itchy and have a lot of crust on them, I have to wash them when I wake up

@grenery8 I don't mind the diagnosis as it is only allergies in both eyes.
That is much better than pink eye!

Of course you have my prayers. It is important that you have professional medical care. Your sister and your peer both have your best interests at heart, but they can not tell you for sure what you need to do.

That is what I think too as my peer said that I have to see a doctor as my eyes help me read so they are important.
I am hoping I only need an antibiotic nothing like an eye drop.
thank you for the prayers

I have had it. It went away by itself. Maybe by the time your sister can take you it will have gone away.

@LovesEverybody That is a shame..you have to wait so long to go. I think you should take precedence over the volunteer job.

I hope so too. Except it seems to be getting worse. There is something that is making it hard to see. I've washed my eyes and wiped them and it still looks like something is in it. I stopped doing that as it was futile
I think my sister volunteer someplace tomorrow so maybe we will go Sunday

@snowy22315 I am just assuming she will volunteer over me as she mentioned she signed up to volunteer Saturday a few days ago.
I am hoping I do take precedence. But sadly it is not always that way

Yes I had pink eye as a young child and both my sons had pink eye as young children. If I remember correctly, we were prescribed antibiotics which cleared it in a week. Prayers for you.

I like the idea of getting antibiotics instead of eye drops. I am going to the convenient care this weekend.
I will take a list of the medicines I take so if the doctor prescribes something then they will know what one to prescribe without me getting bad side effects.
Thank you for the prayers

From your description it does sound like you have pink eye but it's really best to have it checked. Maybe they can give you something other than eye drops. Will definitely pray for you Jennifer.

yes, my sister wants somebody besides my peer to look at it. Especially if that person can do something to help. I don't think my peer can prescribe medicine as she works in mental health and isn't a practicing physician's assistant but has the degree
I hope they can give me a pill instead of eye drops. I take so many pills that one more doesn't bother me.
Thank you so much for the prayers

That is a good idea to look up what to do about it. But my sister will insist I go to convenient care. I just want to feel better.
Then my peer who has a medical background said if it isn't better by today she suggests I see a doctor. She also said I need to see one because I need my eyes to read
Thank you for your prayers!

thank you! I don't know how I caught it as I never touch my face unless I am washing it with soap and water.
I find it disgusting when I see people touch their face without sanitizing their hands first

@LovesEverybody it could be an airborne transmission. You may have passed someone carrying a virus or bacteria that caused your eyes infection. But how are you? I hope the medication went well.

@rachz_kisses Maybe I did pass somebody because I certainly didn't touch my eyes without clean hands
I didn't get medication yet. I am going to the doctor. In the meantime, my eyes feel bad and uncomfortable

I didn't have pink eye. I had blepharitis and the symptoms were similar. My eyes were tired and I felt like I had sand in them. My vision was blurred and I couldn't even see well. My eyes were red. Don't worry too much. It's temporary. The doctor will help you. I almost went to the doctor, but it disappeared after trying some ointments.

actually, I might have blepharitis. I just had an educated guess and when I see a professional who will know for sure it might be blepharitis after all
Thank you for telling me to not worry that helps my anxiety a lot

thank you for the prayers. I think that conjunctivitis is what it is called here too but pink eye is an easier way to say it.
Thank you for your prayers!
