Officers with the Colorado Parks and Wildlife answered a call for help when an eyewitness saw a cub caught in a wire fence in Evergreen Colorado on Sunday June 2.
Since the mother bear was in a tree nearby, the CPW officials had to tranquilize the mom bear so they could use a catch pole and remove the wires from the cub.
An officer with the K9 Unite had to keep the other bears away after the cub was rescued and the mom recovered from her temporal sleep.
The CPW Northeast section mentioned that cubs are like children that allow their curious nature to get into trouble sometimes.
Both the mom bear and her cub were able to go free in the forest after the rescue.

That's a great deed.
The officials certainly have a tough time to make sure that other bears don't get provoked.
It would also have come as a big relief for Mumma bear later on.

That mother bear would've been very unhappy, having humans tampering with her cub!

I wonder if the poor mother tranquilised bear fell out of the tree after she was sedated, or if they got her out of the tree somehow first.
They seemed to know what to do, as nobody wants a raging bear coming after them even if it is just protecting its cub. A good rescue all around, and let's hope the cub is not compromised like that again soon.

I am sure that the mom bear fell down into a net provided by the animal control officers after she was sedated.

@Deepizzaguy A strong net, then, to catch a falling bear.
